Each week I’d like to focus our prayers on certain aspects of Terra Ceia Christian School so that we can more intentionally lift this place up before God’s throne. If we call on His name, we will feel His blessing whether the events around us are calm or stormy. Please join with us in praying for Terra Ceia Christian School!

Students–Joy–”May the students of TCCS be filled with the joy given by the Holy Spirit” (1 Thessalonians 1:6).
Class Focus–Kindergarten
Teacher Focus–Pastor Weemhoff (8th Bible)
School Focus–Pray that Spiritual Emphasis Week can have a huge impact on students, both this week and well into their futures. May the messages from God touch each student in just the right way to move them closer to Christ.

New Family and Pastor Discounts

With the goal of decreasing one of the largest initial hurdles to Christian education, the Finance Committee and Board of Terra Ceia Christian School has decided to offer a $1000 New Family Discount for students in grades K-12. We also hope that it will help you to talk to friends, family, and neighbors about the blessings of Terra Ceia Christian School. Our ultimate goal is to increase enrollment so that we have healthy class sizes from grades K-12. And what better way to do that than to pass along a blessing from our family to theirs.

Will you help us get the word out?

Will you help us spread the blessing of Christ-centered Education at Terra Ceia Christian School?

As you do so, if your pastor has school-aged kids, please pass along another gift that we have been working on. In recognition of the dedication of our pastors to our churches and communities, we also want to offer them an ongoing Pastoral Discount of $1000 per family per school year.

Terra Ceia Christian School has always held that we cannot replace the “first families” of home and church. We only function well as a school when our families are seeking to grow closer to Christ as a family unit and worshiping together at local church. We serve an important servant role to the institutions of family and church. These discounts are aimed at continuing that servant role: blessing Christian families and blessing our churches by way of their pastors.

Correction: Prayers for March 18

In trying to schedule some of these posts, I forgot to change the prayer request when I changed the dates for our standardized testing! So just to make sure parents are not panicking, we are not testing this week.

It is however the end of the 3rd quarter which brings its own set of anxiety and rush to finish projects and assignments. So if you would lift up our students as they finish this leg of the race, it would be appreciated.

Students–Peace-loving–”Father, let the students of Terra Ceia Christian make every effort to do what leads to peace (Romans 14:19).

School Focus–Pray for students as they take their standardized testing this week. Pray that they will be able to demonstrate the learning that has taken place since the beginning of the school year.

Students–Gernerousity–”Grant that the students of TCCS may be generous and willing to share, and so lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age” (1 Thessalonians 5:15).
Class Focus–Class of 2011, wherever God has called them
Teacher Focus–Sheila Wilkins
School Focus–Pray that God continues to give the school financial stability as we finish out the school year. May God protect the financial stability of each family associated with Terra Ceia Christian so that they can continue to make the commitment to Christ-centered education.

Students–Kindness–”Lord, may the students of Terra Ceia Christian always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else” (1 Thessalonians 5:15).
Class Focus–Twelfth Grade
Teacher Focus–Anna Keyzer
School Focus–Pray that as Progress Report went out recently that they may help students understand the changes they need to make before the end of the quarter. Help the students to be proud of the work they have already accomplished, thanking God for the abilities and understanding he has given them.

Students–Purity–”Create in these students a pure heart, O God, and let that purity of heart be shown in their actions” (Psalm 51:10).
Class Focus–Eleventh Grade
Teacher Focus–Michele Howell
School Focus–Our Open Houses and recruiting efforts for next year: May God bless us as we seek to walk alongside parents and the local church in raising children and young adults to love and walk with the Lord. Pray that many parents will come and that God will lead them to Terra Ceia Christian if it be His will.

Students–Courage–”May the students of Terra Ceia Christian always be strong and courageous in their character and in their actions” (Deuteronomy 31:6).
Class Focus–Tenth Grade
Teacher Focus–Joel Keizer
School Focus–Graduates of Terra Ceia Christian: Pray that as they have learned to walk through life outside of the walls of Terra Ceia Christian these past few months, that they would continue to allow God to walk alongside them.

Students–Faithfulness–”Let love and faithfulness never leave the students of Terra Ceia Christian, but bind these twin virtues around their necks and write them on the tablet of their hearts” (Proverbs 3:3).
