Prayers for TCCS February 19

Each week I’d like to focus our prayers on certain aspects of Terra Ceia Christian School so that we can more intentionally lift this place up before God’s throne. If we call on His name, we will feel His blessing whether the events around us are calm or stormy. Please join with us in praying for Terra Ceia Christian School!

The student focus is taken from “31 Biblical Virtues to pray for your kids” by Bob Hostetler. This was taken from Pray! Magazine.

  • StudentsCourage–”May the students of Terra Ceia Christian always be strong and courageous in their character and in their actions” (Deuteronomy 31:6).
  • Class Focus–Tenth Grade
  • Teacher Focus–Joel Keizer
  • School Focus–Graduates of Terra Ceia Christian: Pray that as they have learned to walk through life outside of the walls of Terra Ceia Christian these past few months, that they would continue to allow God to walk alongside them.

A different type of book report

I thought this might be fun to share with everyone. For the two weeks before Christmas break, Terra Ceia Christian 7th grade students created a book report with a twist. Collaborating with the 9th grade Computer I class who served as producers and directors of these book reports, this latest report was a video commercial for a few of the books they read. While they may not be professional commercials, I think the students did a great job of selling their books. I hope you enjoy!

A Flurry of November Activity

Well it is time to catch up on the flurry of activity that has happened during the month of November. I have shared a bunch of photos, and I will make a few comments on each. My hope is to not get so far behind!

The Student Leadership Team partnered with each of the elementary classrooms to paint pumpkins. Check out the process and the end results of their fun collaborations.

On November 10, Terra Ceia Christian was delighted to host 18 pastors for Pastor Appreciation Day. We know we were blessed to have them at Terra Ceia Christian and hoped to bless them in return.

Pastor Appreciation Day

The 1st and 2nd grades led us in chapel with a skit. They did a wonderful job. I hope to upload a video of their presentation.

The day before Thanksgiving, the eight seniors hosted a Thanksgiving breakfast for the eight kindergarten students. Earlier the kindergarten students hosted a Tea Party for the seniors. There are some special memories in the making!

TCCS Turns Pink for Cancer Awareness

Last week Thursday, TCCS students turned the school pink for Cancer Awareness Day. We had a special speaker, Mr. Butch Whitley, who is a cancer survivor. He spoke to how God transformed his life as he battled cancer. He also encouraged students to offer those battling cancer words of support and actions as simple as a pat on the shoulder. See pictures from that day below.
